Welcome to Snug as a Bug Motel, Omeo, your hosts, Hannah and Heather will make you welcome and are pleased to be able to offer these 2 Fully Renovated Historic Buildings for your next stay in Omeo.
Built-in 1879 as a Temperance Boarding House, it was condemned in 1990 and lovingly restored by owners Martin and Florence DeVries, this building has survived 2 major bush fires, one in 1939 (Black Friday Fires) and in 2003. The renovations were completed in November 1995, when the first guests stayed. We have 4 Guestrooms with ensuite, available separately and they are situated on Ground Level, with shared kitchen and lounge room facilities. On-road frontage level there is a 3 bedroom apartment available which is ideal for families or groups ( the apartment is a minimum 2 night stay).
The beautiful homestead out the back has 4 separate ensuite rooms with a stone verandah and outdoor kitchen facilities
